Office Certified Nurse Midwife Or Women's Health Nurse Practitioner*

*Primary Site will be Worcester Medical Center with required flexibility to occasionally travel to our Webster-Milford-Leominster-Westborough offices


The Office Certified Nurse Midwife Or Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner provides management of women’s healthcare and their families throughout pregnancy, the post-partum period, family planning and the gynecologic needs of well women from adolescence through menopause. We also provide gynecologic services including annual GYN exams and contraceptive counseling. This position is a Monday – Friday office position only. There are no call requirements, nor weekends or holidays.  This team based practice, located at Worcester Medical Center, includes 10 physicians, 9 Certified Nurse Midwives, and 2 Nurse Practitioners. 



  • Perform appropriate physical assessments, evaluation and treatment for obstetrics and gynecological patient base seeking services from the organization
  • This position will not require intrapartum care for Labor & Delivery care, however it will require OB experience in order to see patients in office for prenatal and postpartum visits
  • Order lab studies when indicated. Identifies differential diagnosis.  Discriminates between normal and abnormal findings in the history and physical in order to establish a diagnosis. Performs tests and procedures as directed by diagnosis
  • Establish appropriate plans of care related to patient’s identified problem, including medication, diet, therapeutic procedures, etc.
  • Implement plans in safe and effective manner. Utilizes sound judgment in the establishment of priorities in patient’s care and management
  • Record visits in concise, clear, logical manner
  • Evaluate needs and/or time for follow-up and documentation
  • Makes and arranges appropriate referrals when necessary 
  • Evaluates effectiveness of previously implemented medical treatment
  • Develops and provides educational materials and/or programs to patients, families, and healthcare professionals


  • Minimum 2 years of experience as either Certified Nurse Midwife Or Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner required
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Graduate of an ACNM approved School of Nurse-Midwifery and Certification through ACNM Or an Accredited Nurse Practitioner Program, Masters level preferred
  • Must have National Board Certification
  • Licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts board of registration in Nursing
  • Maintains BLS certification, professional certification as appropriate
  • Knowledge of various software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
